We sat down to talk to her about her remarkable journey and growing career with Cuscal.

Leading real change

Anchal’s journey at Cuscal is a testament to her passion for learning, and her drive to make a real-world impact. For her, it’s not just about the technical aspects of the work – it’s about what that work means for the millions of Australians who use our services.

“The work we do here really matters,” says Anchal. “The services we provide allow someone to tap their card and buy something meaningful – maybe a gift for their child or to mark a special occasion. That connection between what we do and the difference it makes in people’s lives is what keeps me motivated.”

Before joining Cuscal as an Incident Manager, Anchal honed her skills at larger multinational companies. But with years of experience under her belt, she was ready for a change and Cuscal’s innovative and close-knit culture felt like the perfect fit.

“I love how approachable everyone is here,” she says. “There’s no rigid hierarchy, no layers of approvals. If you need to speak to someone, you can just do it. It’s a collaborative, close-knit atmosphere, and that’s something really special.”

Stepping forward with Cuscal, Anchal is directly connected with stakeholders across the organisation. This exposure to diverse perspectives has allowed her to learn from experienced leaders and develop her own leadership potential.

“One of the benefits of my role is that I work with so many people. It’s given me the chance to learn from everyone and build great rapport. I’ve also been nominated for leadership training programs like Elevate, which are helping me prepare for future roles where I can manage teams and make an even bigger impact.”
