Craig-Kennedy

Meet Craig Kennedy

Managing Director

Craig joined Cuscal as its Managing Director on 8 December 2008.

Craig is responsible for the corporate leadership, strategy and direction that has established Cuscal as a leading payments and regulated data services provider in Australia.

Craig has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services sector, with particular expertise in digital banking and payments. Over the past 25 years Craig has been a director of listed and unlisted public companies and been a part of a team that built and operationalised two new retail banks in Australia. Prior to joining Cuscal, Craig was the Managing Director of Espreon Limited. He was also Head of Direct Banking at ING and has held a number of senior positions at Advance Bank Australia, State Bank of New South Wales, and Monster Worldwide.

Craig holds an MBA and is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Craig is also a Director of Australian Payments Plus Limited.

Meet Michael Blomfield

CEO Cuscal Paymark

Mike commenced as CEO of Cuscal Paymark in July 2026. Prior to this he was Cuscal’s Chief Client Officer since June 2024, overseeing the client success and strategic growth functions of the business along with strategy, M&A and brand & marketing.

Mike has over 30 years’ experience in banking and financial services, having led national and regional organisations in banking, financial markets and technology across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, North America, the UK, Europe and South Africa.

Prior to joining Cuscal, Mike held various senior executive roles including as Chief Commercial Officer of Iress Limited (ASX:IRE), CEO of Investment Trends, APAC Managing Director of MF Global, as well as a number of senior roles with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) including Head of Equities Division (which included CommSec) and Executive General Manager of Local Business Banking.

Alongside Mike’s executive roles he is a Non-Executive Director of Shanghai Stock Exchange listed QiLu Bank, based in Shandong Province, China; he is Chairman of the Investment Advisory Board for the Catholic Women’s League of Sydney, and has a long history of NED roles in the Arts and Not For Profit sectors.

Freya-Smith

Meet Freya Smith

Chief Client Officer

Freya joined Cuscal in October 2022 and commenced as Chief Client Officer in July 2026, leading the Client Success, Strategic Growth and Brand & Marketing functions. Prior to that, Freya was Cuscal’s Chief Legal and People Officer.

Freya has significant experience leading teams in complex and global organisations across industries including payments, Fintech, financial services, insurtech, and emerging technologies.

Before joining Cuscal, Freya was the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for Claim Central Consolidated, a global insurtech business. Prior to that she was the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary for ASX listed global payments company, OFX Group Limited.

Freya holds a Master of Laws (High Distinction); Bachelor Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Hons); and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Australian Governance Institute. She is also member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia; and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Freya is also a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed technology company DataWorks Group Limited.

Meet Jennifer Brice

Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer joined Cuscal as Chief Financial Officer in October 2025 and oversees Cuscal’s financial strategy, performance and governance operations. This includes financial planning, reporting and operations, capital and treasury management, and investor relations.

She is a highly experienced finance professional with over 35 years’ experience in finance and business in complex businesses in Australia and overseas where she led large, multi-disciplinary teams focussed on capital and financial management, investor relations, treasury, M&A, governance, and reporting.

Prior to joining Cuscal, Jennifer was the Chief Financial Officer at Australian Payments Plus. She also held several senior finance and business roles at Origin Energy, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Woolworths Limited.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce; a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management; and a Master of Applied Finance and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.

Meet Angela Powell

Chief Risk Officer

Angela joined Cuscal in February 2024 as Chief Risk Officer. She is responsible for leading Cuscal’s risk management strategy, compliance, and risk management frameworks, as well as enhancing Cuscal’s risk management culture and capability across the business.

Angela has over 20 years’ experience in banking and financial services both domestically and internationally and has expertise spanning risk management, governance, regulation, operational excellence, and strategic transformation.

Prior to joining Cuscal, Angela was a Senior Principal Consultant with Promontory, where she partnered with boards, senior management and risk and compliance professionals to strengthen the effectiveness of risk management practices in the areas of non-financial risk management, operational resilience, governance, culture, and accountability. Prior to Promontory, Angela held senior roles within the Policy and Advice division’s leadership team at APRA and ING Australia and Lloyds International.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from Kaplan and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Risk Management Institute of Australasia.

Meet Manell Saad

Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary

Manell was appointed Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary in July 2026. Manell leads Cuscal’s legal and company secretariat functions and has held a number of senior legal roles since joining Cuscal in March 2023 including Head of Legal.

Manell is an experienced legal executive with over 20 years’ experience in banking and financial services, with deep expertise in corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, and a strong track record leading complex enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.

Before joining Cuscal, Manell was Deputy General Counsel at ASX-listed finance company FleetPartners Group. Prior to that, Manell was Senior Banking Counsel at ING Bank Australia and held legal roles at St George Bank and Westpac.

Manell holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Wollongong and is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. Manell is also a member of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association.

Meet Edward Rasheed

Chief Strategy Officer

Ed was appointed Cuscal’s Chief Strategy Officer in July 2026. He leads enterprise strategy, mergers and acquisitions and corporate development initiatives across the Group. He and his team work closely with the MD, Board and Executive to shape Cuscal’s long-term direction and priorities.

Since joining Cuscal in May 2025, Ed has played a key role in Cuscal’s recent growth, including through the acquisitions of Indue and Paymark New Zealand, strengthening the Group’s scale, capability, and regional presence.

Ed brings deep experience in strategy, transformation, and corporate development across financial services. Prior to joining Cuscal, he was Group Strategy Lead at Perpetual and Associate Director of Group Strategy at NAB/MLC/IOOF. He began his strategy career at Monitor Deloitte, specialising in corporate strategy and transformation, after working in business development at Macquarie Group.

Ed holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Business School.

Bronwyn-Yam

Meet Bronwyn Yam

Chief Product Officer

Bronwyn joined Cuscal in May 2023 as the Chief Product Officer. She is responsible for driving Cuscal’s product strategy.

Bronwyn has over 25 years’ experience in financial services and consulting industries. Bronwyn’s previous role was the Chief Product Officer of Tyro Payments Limited for approximately six years. Prior to that she held several senior roles across various divisions within the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Before moving to Australia in 2004, Bronwyn had a consulting career with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in the United States and across Asia working with clients from multiple industries from manufacturing to financial services.

Bronwyn holds a Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Evan-Craig

Meet Evan Craig

Chief Information Officer

Evan was appointed Chief Information Officer in March 2022 and leads Cuscal’s technology and practice delivery functions. Since joining Cuscal in July 2017, he has held a number of senior roles in enterprise technology services, including Head of Strategy and Governance and Head of Service Delivery.

Evan has more than 25 years’ experience in IT services delivery including multiple financial institutions, service provider organisations in mission critical roles.

Prior to joining Cuscal, Evan held senior and national roles with large multinational technology companies as well as insurance and banking organisations.
