Meet Michael Blomfield

Mike commenced as CEO of Cuscal Paymark in July 2026. Prior to this he was Cuscal’s Chief Client Officer since June 2024, overseeing the client success and strategic growth functions of the business along with strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and brand and marketing.

Mike has over 30 years’ experience in banking and financial services, having led national and regional organisations in banking, financial markets and technology across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, North America, the UK, Europe and South Africa.

Prior to joining Cuscal, Mike held various senior executive roles including as Chief Commercial Officer of Iress Limited, CEO of Investment Trends, APAC Managing Director of MF Global, as well as a number of senior roles with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia including Head of Equities Division (which included CommSec) and Executive General Manager of Local Business Banking.

Alongside Mike’s executive roles, he is a Non-Executive Director of Shanghai Stock Exchange listed Qilu Bank, based in Shandong Province, China, Chairman of the Investment Advisory Board for the Catholic Women’s League of Sydney, and has a long history of on-executive director roles in the arts and not-for-profit sectors.
