Forward with Josh: Exploring new horizons with Cuscal

When Josh Temkin joined our team in March 2023 as Group Corporate Counsel, he was looking to challenge himself. He’s certainly done that and seen through a major career highlight along the way, with impressive results for Cuscal. Now, as Senior Group Corporate Counsel, Josh is committed to driving Cuscal forward and, he says, the most exciting work is yet to come.

A milestone moment.

Watched over by the Statue of Commerce, the imposing 13-story building on Bridge Street, Sydney is home to one of the country’s most important financial institutions – the Australian Securities Exchange. In November 2024, Josh Temkin was one of the privileged members of Cuscal’s senior team to step onto the floor of the exchange and celebrate Cuscal’s successful listing.

The initial public offering (IPO) was the culmination of 18 months of immense effort by many at Cuscal, and notably Josh, who was instrumental in managing due diligence and the preparation of the Prospectus.

It wasn’t always glamorous work, Josh says, there were more than a few late nights surrounded by piles of paperwork, and triple latte mornings. But Josh knows it was well worth the effort.

“When we listed, it was awesome. It was very exciting to be a part of that process and to have that on your resume. I’ve now got a picture of me ringing the bell in the Exchange, and that’s special. There are many listed companies, but being there at that transition point is very rewarding and it’s a rare opportunity.”
