What is a mobile payment?

A mobile payment lets you use a phone, smartwatch, or other device to perform a purchase without needing cash or a physical card. You simply add a card to a mobile wallet like Apple Pay, or Google PayTM, or Samsung Pay which secures your details. When paying in-store, you hold your device near the payment terminal, and for an online or in-app purchases, you select your saved card and confirm with a fingerprint, face scan, or passcode. Mobile payments are fast, secure, and super convenient, using technology like tokenisation (to protect card information) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technology for contactless payments.
