Forward with Lilly: How this young grad is growing her accomplished career at Cuscal

When Lilly Warfield joined Cuscal as an intern in 2023, she had no idea how much it would shape her future. From starting with our Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Security team to working as a Fraud Officer, Lilly has grown leaps and bounds successfully transitioning into our Graduate Program in 2025. We sat down to chat with Lilly about her remarkable start and the next steps in her blossoming career.

A stepping stone to success
As a university student, Lilly was nervous about stepping into the corporate world. Would it mean long hours? Tough managers? Or something else entirely? Little did she know that an internship with Cuscal would prove to be the perfect launchpad for her career.

Lilly first joined us as part of a scholarship program during her undergraduate studies at the University of Technology Sydney. As an ETS Security Intern in our security team, she was immediately impressed by a work environment that was open, approachable and eager to invest in her growth.

“I remember starting my internship and just loving the atmosphere at Cuscal,” says Lilly. “It was one of my first experiences in the corporate world, and they made it feel welcoming instead of intimidating. That’s rare.”

By the end of her internship, Lilly had not only gained hands-on experience but also built the confidence to take the next steps in her career. Most of all, Lilly knew she wanted to stay with Cuscal even if it meant taking a slight detour.

While waiting for the 2025 intake of Cuscal’s graduate program, Lilly embraced a new opportunity as a Fraud Officer in the Alert Management Specialists (AMS) team. Now, as she embarks on her graduate journey, Lilly reflects on the significant impact Cuscal has had on her professional development.   “Cuscal has been there every step of the way,” she says. “From helping me find my first role to tailoring graduate rotations to my interests, they’ve always made me feel supported and valued.”
